This Thermal Heat Alarm is activated by heat from a fire (when the temperature around the unit is over 57°C). It is ideal for installations in kitchens where otherwise a smoke alarm would be too sensitive to the smoke from cooking.
It has an Easi-Fit base that enables a quick installation and easy maintenance. The alam is wired with a replaceable 9V alkaline battery which may last for up to 4 years in standby mode or 2 years if unpowered from the mains.
As a thermal alarm is not an early warning system, it must always be interconnected with at least one other smoke alarm. This unit can connect with up to twelve alarms, where if any alarm is triggered, all alarms shall be activated.
