The ABE Powder Fire Extinguisher (also known as a Dry Chemical Powder Fire Extinguisher) is very versatile suitable for fire protection in offices and vehicles. It can be used to extinguish fires class A, B, E, including fires on electrical equipment, (though electrical components can often be damaged). It is unsuitable for use in confined areas, as it can affect visibility and breathing.
Certified & Approved to AS/NZS 1841.5 Dry powder fire extinguishers are effective in the extinguishing of spillages of flammable liquids as well as electrical fires and gases. ABE extinguishers are a non conductor of electricity and provide the user with a defensive heat shield.
The ABE Powder Fire Extinguisher is fitted with a flexible rubber hose which enables extinguishing in hard to reach areas. The cylinder is made of steel and powder coated red. It has a nickel plated brass valve and stainless steel handle.
